Sitting in my local coffee shop, the usual rickety chair and wobbly table added a touch of professionalism to the work while Frank Sinatra’s voice trails through the speakers, the baritone notes a subtle backdrop to the whirling and shaking of mixed concoctions. The wafting smell of coffee tied with the atmospheric connotations only this type of establishment could provide. All the while the tundra experiences another bout of snowfall, temperature well below zero as my thoughts drift to anything other than the weather.

One such topic is that according to a quick google search, January 10th is the day when most people abandon their new year’s resolutions as the days slip into routines and the shining motivation of the bright new year fades into a distancing ideal. With the end of the month upon us these thoughts are at the forefront of my mind, hovering like gnats in the most inopportune moment. Time is a slippery nuisance, churning forward with its own designs. Everything seems to be going by all too fast and I need to get a hold of the situation. My main focus this year will be to become more disciplined and shed the old habits that aren’t working anymore.  Such activities as getting up earlier and focusing less on youtube and more on writing. Working overtime to accomplish things.

Yet another day passes without a Celsius *Sigh*
